This summer, Selwo Marina presents an innovative experience that blends science, music and nature, revealing what was once one of the planet’s great mysteries: what a whale’s heartbeat sounds like?
Pacificanto will transport you into the soundscape of humpback whales – complex natural compositions featuring songs that travel vast distances and which, together with the very beats of their hearts, are transformed into a unique artistic presentation in which the human voice, music and nature interact in perfect harmony. A sensory journey which, through an immersive experience that awakens the senses, presents the grandeur of marine life from a new perspective, invites you to listen in a new way and highlights the importance of conserving our oceans and the species that inhabit them.
This immersive experience takes us behind the scenes of the research carried out by engineer Jorge Reinolds to record, for the first time, the heartbeats of these marine giants in the wild. This scientific breakthrough opened new doors to knowledge, enabled a better understanding of the extraordinary connection between all living beings and its application in human medicine, and gave rise to Pacificanto, an experimental musical piece that blends whale song with the human voice and the beating of the heart.
This new attraction at Selwo Marina for the Summer of 2026, available from 17 July, throughout August and until 6 September, is set to become a must-see summer experience, ideal for anyone looking to enjoy something different, connect with nature and be amazed by a story that is as real as it is extraordinary.
