The Arizona Cypress is a medium-sized tree belonging to the Cupressaceae family. It is a medium-sized evergreen tree with a conical crown and can reach 10-25 metres in height. The trunk can reach 50 cm in diameter with gray-green or blue-green foliage. It has a smooth, reddish-brown bark with vertical blades.

It is native to southwestern North America, in the southern United States of America and northern Mexico. In the wild it is found in small, scattered colonies, not in large forests.

The Arizona Cypress is a tree that can live for up to several centuries, despite being quite fast growing.
